I did some searching in the forums and couldnt find the right answer... I just got a 1g and went to block off the EGR to find that the vaccume lines are gone and where capped on the TB.... Do i still need to place in a block off plate or are removing the V-lines doing the same thing a plate would?

Thanks guys

If you dont have a plate there already (which if someone did the vac line elimination already there should be one there already), then you need one. That is a HUGE leak leading straight into your intake manifold. Look up taboo speed shop vacuum line elimination and you should come across it.

More than likely it already has a block off plate installed. When I got my DSM it was bones stock but had the EGR blocked off. It even had all the vacuum lines in place. Check these images out for the lines.

Either way you'r gona have to take it off your intake and see if they just put the plate underneath the valve or it the just yanked off the hoses. Making a plate is easy if it's not there, took me 20 mins to trace the valve onto a piece of 16 gauge and cut it out.
