My friend just bought a pocket logger and a hot sync cable that plugs into the obd port. ON the cable there is the obd plug and a red wire. I need to know where to put the red wire. I am guessing something in the fuse box.

that red wire is a power wire usually with a spade connector on the end...plug that into an empty fust socket on the fuse box...it may take you 2 times to get it right as you need to plug it into the 12+ wire on the fuse socket. If you get it wrong the first time it wont hurt anything at all, just swap it into the other of the 2 sockets

I plugged mine into an empty fuse spot. My voltmeter says it's 12.5 V. So, I guess that will work?

I'm getting an error that says "No Rev."

I'm gonna do a search for what the error means now.

I'm using a used Palm m100 with a pocketlogger cable setup, and the free "Palm'n'Stein" software, for now.

It's on a 98 2g.

Okay, so someone said they fixed the "no rev" error from pushing the pins in a little on the OBD interface, so when I went to try it out, I saw I only had one pin. The pocketlogger cable had three. I looked behind the harness to check if there was only one wire, and there was. It seemed awefully weird to me, but I don't know a whole lot on the subject.

So, I'm still getting the "no rev" error. Please HELP! :sosad:

sounds like you are using a 1g connector. the 2g does not have a seperate wire. on my 98 talon there is also a 1g style connector under the dash. make sure that is not the one that you are using. on a 2g you would use the solid black connector under the dash, not the semi transparent connector. also, post a picture of you set up and we will know for sure.
