ive got my boost gauge installed buy havent installed the wires for the light is there any other options to connect them too besides the dimmer switch? something that might be a lot easier?????

Since my coolant gauge is where the cigarette lighter used to be I just taped into those wires for my lights. Them dim and everything and very easy wires to find.

i went with the cigarette lighter wires.

Same here. It's probably the easiest place. Run one wire under the dash, along the back of the driver's side console kick panel, and tap into the power wire for the cigarette lighter halo-light. Run the ground wire down the left side of the car to a metal screw that holds the left trim panel on, down by the floor. Any screw that threads into the body will work, actually. I just chose one that was right below the dash. That's all there is to it.

There is a bulb that clamps in to the cig lighter, you can splice that, i just got rid of my bulb its very annoying. If you take off the center console, armrest shiftboot etc. there might be a light down there as well, i have a loose one there not sure where or what it goes to, but its very simple.
