Quick Exhaust Question

Ok, since a full 3" turbo back will create boost creep unless you port the wastegate in the 14b.
What about running a 2.5" downpipe to a 3" cat convert to a 3" exhaust? Will I still get boost creep?

Also who loud and what's the sound like on a turbo DSM with stright pipe or just a resonator?

Don't know, that set up will only lower your chances of getting boost creep. You may not creep with a full 3" exhaust. If you want my advice, then run the car without a downpipe and see if it creeps. If not go 3". If it does then attempt your idea.

next couple days im getting put on 2.5 downpipe, no cat, press bent cat-back with resignator, cant wait to know how it sounds.

I recommend getting a 34mm flapper installed on it before you install the turbo. And you should be good to go with your 3" turbo-back.

Yea, mandrel bent piping is the only way to go.

Compared to a good high flow racing muffler not much different...

As for the boost creep you could try making a restrictor plate if you are too tight to swing a WG.... Just a sheet metal plate between the O2 and DP with a 2.5" hole maybe to stave off creep.

For a month, I drove my car w/ a 3" turbo-back with no muffler. It sounded kinda choppy like a V8. Disconnect your downpipe from your O2 housing and then start the car and rev it. Having no muffler and no cat sounds like that but only half as loud.

I'd just buy a bullseye turbine housing myself with a big flapper or do my own mod...

But some people just dont want to do it right the first time.

I think I'll just take the turbo off and port the wastegate plus put in a larger flapper. Might as well.

Where would be a good place to find a 34mm flapper or other oversized flapper for a 14b, cause i made a pipe for my car and its having issues, and even after porting, its not enough with the stock lil flapper....
