quick boost creep question

for starters my boost creep is severe, if i set the boost on my 16g at 11 psi i spool up by 2800 and then hit about 22 psi by 3800 rpm, i let off the throttle by that time because i don't want to see how much more boost i can build.

i have a 3" rnr o2 eliminator with external dump turbo back exhaust.

i am wondering if i should put in a 34 mm flapper and port out the hole, and get the exhaust wrap for my external dump tube.

OR should i just assume that won't cure the worlds worst boost creep(mine) and just get a nice tubular manifold with a external wastegate. i am pretty poor and will have to spend my pale grant money on this if i go with the manifold option
 
also i would like a link to a well priced tubular exhaust manifold with external gate. also i would like to say i want a tubular manifold if i am gonna kick down the extra cash
 
i had boost creep real bad too. i am only running a 14b so i dunno if its gonna help you, but i put my stock cat back on, and it took care of it....good luck!
 
DNP is a good way to go for tubular manifolds and the price ain't bad either.As fas as the flapper i'm not sure....i just ordered an EVOIII w the mod and haven't got it yet, but when I do i'll post up results.
 
My creep wasnt that bad, I put a 34mm WG and ported the heck out of my o2 housing and it was remedied...could try that if you want, but...if i had the money go external. will fix it.
 
if youre hitting 22psi at 3800 i would look into your wastegate being stuck shut...also its my understanding that tubular manifolds tend to crack more than non...so just something to look into...i would check that wastegate though before you spend money on shit you might not need
 
i have an external dump o2 housing, no need to look. i think i nearly deaf person could varify my wastegate works.

but yeah it seems so bad that it might as well be welded shut and maybe i have exhaust from someone elses car running into the turbo. f-er spools up like CRAZY

btw it pulled really hard at 22 psi OMG
 
why dont you just send your current manifold to be fitted with an external wastegate? a lot cheaper alternative.. the only time i would even consider a tubular manifold is for mounting a turbo with a t3 or t4 style inlet on the turbine housing.

another alternative is a 02 dump with an external wategate on the dump tube.
 
just about any shop that sells manifolds and externals. SlowBoyRacing comes to mind. Other places can prolly do it as well just give them a call.

You can have your manifold ported out.. new wastegate.. and have it mounted all for less than a tubular by itself.
