Alright, so i bought a 91 talon tsi that was broken down for a year or so. Now im tryingt to get it back to stock. It has no mods except for a dejon tool upper intercooler pipe. But im getting a mad case of boost creep causeing a fuel cut issue. The curren boost is maxing out my inaccurate oem boost gauge. This shouldnt be happeing for stock settings? Im really stuck on where to start my diagnosis. I checked the timing its pretty close to stock maybe a degree or two advanced. Possibly a Wastegate or BOV issue? Please some guidance is necessary.

Thanks,
Paul

Make sure the wastegate opens fully at the set psi. It might not be opening all the way. Also, is the cat in working order?

I dont know if that cat is working. If the cat was restricting too much flow would it cause back pressure in turn causing excess boost?
