I have a parasitic draw and just borrowed a multimeter to attempt to further diagnose it. I tried to search on here for my specific meter but couldnt find one. I am trying to diagnose a draw on the battery and dont know what to set the meter on.
I attached a picture of the meter that I have.
thanks

Your car is direct current so the straight line voltage... But if you have a draw then you will probably look for high amperage as you will lose(have low) resistance but the voltage will still be there.. V/R=I(ampere)

I probly have no idea what im talking about but in all of the parasitic draw threads that I have read, everyone was reading mA's....is that volts or miliamps??

you need to test the amps, take off your positive terminal and set the multimeter inline with the + wire and the battery and you need to read no more than 35 milliamps or .035 amps but make sure all the lights in and outside your car are off and the keys or off, also shut the doors and possibly run a 5 amp fuse in line with your test cause if you draw more than ten amps you will pop the fuse in the meter or you might just destroy it

Make sure you connect your multimeter in series for checking Amps!!
