Ive been reading up on the TPS sensor so today i went outside and looked at it , it looks fine. I disconnected to see if i would get any different symptoms but it was only a SLIGHT different smell in the exhaust and a little loss of power.. Does this mean my TPS is bad? And also Whats good with these loggers at autozone aid auto ect.. Its like 100 bucks so i might go get one. Is it possible to have bad sensors and not have a code thrown out?

I also Have one of those Knockoff greddy BOV's which i completly regret buying and it broke so i had to fab it up to work... Taking the stiffer spring out and using the delicate spring on a stiffer setting. It doesnt really sound right and sometimes it doesnt even blow off.

To sum it up my car isnt really running as good as it was a month ago. It sounds like its going fast but ive lost most of my torque and 3rd and 4th gear are alot slower now. What can i do?

How about inspecting the plugs, maybe do a seafoam treatment and put new plugs in?

TPS usually shows a variety of symptoms (and eventually throw a cel). You haven't mentioned anything specific besides sluggishness.

Can you tell me does this car burn any oil or run rich? Does it smoke much at all out the exhaust?

How's the compression?

Right now nothing really points at the TPS so far. However, when mine was going out, it would be sluggish, and some other stuff, too. I can't say for sure it's not the tps, but I think you should start with the basics first.

Plugs get toasted pretty quickly in these cars. New plug wires every 3 years. Seafoam thru the intake every oil change or 2 is a good idea also.

Its very sluggish yes, also as it gets hotter and hotter it gets slower and more slugish. I change my plugs every month about because i have a small crack in my valve cover that i havnt fixed. It sprays out some oil. I think its running VERY rich. I have no cats but you can still tell its to rich. The smell of the exhaust is very potent like burnt fuel

Well the oil on the plugs from the valve cover will lessen the spark energy to the plugs. Could be causing a misfire to start.

Now for the sluggish problem is probably your coolant temperature sensor for the ECU. If the sensor isn't telling the computer the car is warming up it will keep the mixture rich. This rich mixture will cause the car to be sluggish getting worse as the car warms up. The sensor is on the termostat housing. You can do a search to see how to test it but I bet from the symptoms that is the problem.

To check the sensor, check the resistance while it's completely cold.
50-80*F = 2200-2700ohms. Then start the engine and warm it up until it reaches NOT.The resistance should be lower
180-200*F = 280 to 350ohms

Good Luck!

My car is not throwing a CEL but the logger says it is. The logger says my TPS is out but there is not CEL. Why would this be, logger not correct? I do have idle surge only when car is warming up, once it hits full temp it goes away. It surges maybe once everytime I stop. would the tps cause this? Also my idle will not go below 1000rpm. Sometimes it will but usaully wonders between 1000-1250. I replaced the BISS o ring and my ISC without any change.
