I have a rewired walbro 190hp fuel pump in my 92 tsi just wondering how much boost can u push with it? im running a big 16g with clipped wheel and pte 680cc injectors...right now im boostin 20lbs but wanna boost a lil more like 22-24lbs would it handle it or should i get the 255 pump?

The answer to the question lies in doing a little math and some research.

Rough back of the envelope approximation:

4 680cc/min injectors = 2.72 l/min = 163.2 l/hr
Base pressure + boost pressure + losses = pump pressure 36.3 psi + 24 psi = 60.3 psi

Can your 190l/h pump deliver 163.2 l/hr at 60.3 psi or more? If it can you won't run out of fuel even if you were running 100% IDC's. If it can't, it still may be enough for the IDC's you actually see.

From the data RRE published for an old style Walbro 190 pump suggest it couldn't provide enough fuel to run the injectors to 100% but once you hone the numbers a bit adjusting for 1G fuel pressure (36.3 psi) and reasonable IDCs (85%) the answer looks better.

I was running 24-25psi on the b16g with the evo8 injectors and rewired evo8 pump(~190lph) at 10.6-11:1

Well i boosted 22-24 psi and my air fuel ratios were 10.7-11.0 with a boost leak from one of the intercooler couplers so i think im good but whats the best air fuel ratios to be at on 93 pump gas?

I bet you are running out of pump. You still use a MAS right? If you have a boost leak, you would be running much richer than before and your A/F ratios are leaning out. I would pony up the $95 for a 255lph walboro.

^agreed... its always safer anyways.. if you don't quite need it yet, i think you getting close to maxing that pump, and IMO i wouldn't rather have you spend the money for a 255 then have the pump fail on you during a WOT pull!!

IMO

GoodLuck!

I have a 2g mas. Whats wrong with 10.7-11.0 afr's thats where u wanna be at on pump gas as people tell me? I use to be 10.0 at wot but i put a new jpipe coupler, new intercooler coupler, and my intake pipe was shoved in to close to the maf so i pulled the mas back as far as i can and then tightened it down and also my buddy messed with the maf calibration screw a lil bit after this i went for some pulls and i was at 10.7-11.0.
