I have a 95 gsx a/t. When i shift it into drive and let off the brake it doesnt creep forward like most cars would. If i put it in L it creeps a little. And in reverse its creeps pretty damn fast backward. Just wondering if thats a upcomming problem arising or something. Also, if i were to build a auto tranny for road course racing (tracks with turns) and part drag but streetable, basically all around, what would you guys recommend. I was kinda thinking of getting a IPT custom high stall 5k something rpm converter, translab shift kit, valve body, manual-matic shift controll (ill re-enigneer it to paddle shifting). this sound like a good auto tranny build up? my mods are in my profile. Also, one more question, wit the manualmatic shift system, when i push the button for a gear will it immeditaly go or will it act and switch gears after i click the button like when you shift from L to 2nd (it takes a second or so to shift). Thanks in advance for any help, i know its alot of questions but im new to the A/T lifestyle. :D

My car does just about what you described. I'm wondering if a valvebody from IPT will do the trick.

I have a 1g auto and it does it too ,this is because it is really in second gear when you stop.
There is a microswitch on the gas peddle and as soon as you press it down it shifts to first
gear (when in drive). Sound like the same for your 2g .If you listen really hard when its in drive and key on and you just barely press the gas you can here it . :talon:

How is your car in 2nd gear when you are stopped  When starting out from a standstill an A/T should always be in 1st.

This is whats is in the manual
this is for 1Gs
section 21-24
This is when the lever is in drive position

(2) Driving-off is always performed in 1st gear.
(5) When the vehicle is stopped, shifting is made to
the 2nd gear to minimize creep and vibration.
Upon starting, shifting is made to 1st gear.

#5 is done with the switch on the gas pedal .
Hope this helps .
