Question on quality on this ebay downpipe

As the title says im looking for someone that has used one of these on there car. I realize you get what you pay for but once in a while you get a good deal.. My question is how was the fit and the quality of the welds?

Usually these product require some custom fitting or something but im running a manifold from OBX off ebay and the welds are fine after a year of use

depending on your location is really matters (i.e snow, salt), but the welds will hold up but its the flex section that you should be worried about. but fitment is USUALLY not an issue but its ebay you never know what you'll get

I'm not to worried about rust i only drive the car in the summer.

i have the same one, it will NOT bolt up to a stock gsx catback or any catback that fits an oem cat.

the bolts on the flange of the downpipe that bolts to the catback is horizontal, instead of at an angle like a stock gsx exhaust would be

I JUST installed this on my wifes car. It installed easily but the rear flange is at the wrong angle like the previous poster stated. The hangar mount is in the correct spot though. You will have to find smaller nuts to use attaching to the o2 housing because the washer flare on the stock nuts is too big arround and you cant get them to thread without binding against the pipe. I took mine to a exhaust shop and paid 30 bucks to have the flange cut off and welded on at the correct angle. Because of that I would say just get the punishment down pipe and be done with it. After shipping and everything else you end up paying about the same for either one.


EDIT: I also installed a 3 in cat back so that made fitment no problem. I cant tell you if it will bolt to a stock catback or not.

Lol the horizontal bolt pattern is for the fwd,awd has it diagonal to make the cat clear the drive shaft

Then they are selling fwd downpips as awd ones. I specifically asked them if it was fo awd and they said yes. But this is a case of you get what you pay for.

yeah! you'll always be surprised on what you gonna get.. and sometimes its worth it.

best one for the price one ebay right there, but i doubt you can get it anymore, esp at that price. supply and demand, and demand is high so price has gone up.

I know on the2g FWD, you can still install stock catback with the ebay downpipe, only thing is since it goes from a huge 3" or 2.75" to the stock 2.25? (IIRC), theres a leak. no point, if you are changing the downpipe might as well get the matching catback. getting a transition piece made/welded just isn't worth it, but you still see the nice SS Auto one reviewed above comes with one for that very purpose if for some some strange reason you want to install either or, and not both.

And these downpipes are always straight through cat eliminating. no surprise there.
