i'm rebuilding my 7 bolt block, I don't have a huge budget wondering if a combo of stock rods and forged pistons or forged rods on stock pistons is better for handling 350+ whp and what a better turbo 20g or big 16g THanks!
 
I'm in the same position you are right now and I think you should do as I and save up dude. You'll be happier in the end. A full OEM rebuild kit from Mach V is $549 including pistons and then you can get forged rods to mate with that. Take your time with tuning.
 
Stock rods and pistons are fine at 350hp. Don't skimp on the rebuild at all. Make sure its done right so you wont have to go back and do it again.
