question bout intake

I bought a filter and an intake pipe from someone on here and the pipe is a 3" pipe. I took care of the connector from the pipe to the turbo but now I don't have anything to connect the pipe to the MAS. Is there a connector somewhere online that I can buy for this or an OEM replacement MAS with a 3" circle opening instead of a big oval? The guy sent me a coupling but it doesn't fit over the stock MAS opening.

I've got a 97 GSX.

find a chunk of plastic and go to work with a dremel

or better yet get yourself a gm maf and translator and strap your filter onto the end of that pipe like it was meant to be run and revel in the glory of better flow and the ability to vent your bov to atmosphere

i dont know of anywhere to buy an adaptor for that, its not really a super critical area or a high stress connestion so you should be fine rigging something up

FP has some connectors as does Slowboy.

you'll need a round 4" coupling. try the plumbing section at Home Depot or go to hosetechniques.com

How much is that setup gonna run me? And how much better is it than running it with the stock 2g MAS?

yup, just run up to Lowes If you can just bring your intake and MAS in with you, and grab those big rubber couplers they have and find on that'll fit.

That's probably what I'll end up doing. I like the ones at Forced Performance but I don't feel like spending $18 on a coupling and plus s&h. I know I'm cheap, but, I'm pretty sure everyone else would feels the same way about saving money.
