Bare me if there was a post about it already... but I did type in old vaccum lines only 15 post come up and nothing was about the old vaccum lines.

the black lines across the engine should be vaccume lines, but are they suppose to be hard or soft? because most of mine are soft.

are we suppose to replace the old vaccum line?
if so, should I do it alone with the TB block?

will old vaccum line leak and coz lost of power?

They should be black hose (soft) If they are crack or dry rot they need to be replaced. It can cause you car to not run right and not idle right when they are bad.

If your vacuum lines are old they can get small cracks in them, sometimes you can't see them until you bend them, but the entire length of the hose can cause some good vacuum leakage. If you've got the money and they look old, go get a length of hose and start replacing. You're not going to hurt anything, and you'll have the satisfaction of replacing all of them.

IF you don't have emissions in your state, you can get rid of most of the vacuum lines. I just did it and wow. Big mother ####ing difference.

Its not about getting more power, but a cleaner bay, less chances of them leaking and hella less vacuum lines.

Just remember to cap off what you didn't use. Look for the taboo emissions removal. Its on the site, just don't remember where

You'll do much better with a search for "vacuum". Part of why we bi*** so much about spelling on this site.

Vacuum lines usually fail due to cracking near the nipple they're plugged on to, especially if there's a bend near it. Heat will harden vacuum lines and make them more susceptible to cracking as well.
If they're more than five years old, they need replacing.

If the vacuum lines should be replaced after five years, then after 18 years they should be calling to you for replacement. (Make that hissing to you.)

Fix your olde lines, and add a little bling to your 1G for $40.00
