vaccum lines

the idiot that owned my car b4 me "tried" to make it faster by messing with the wastegate and bov vaccum lines. right now it is very odd, i cant even figure it out with the chiltons manual.

right now i have no wastegate solenoid, the bov has no vaccum line running from the top of the bov, instead i have a line running from the intake where the wastegate solenoid line is spose to go, and it runs to and odd piece attatched to the firewall. it is a black cylinder about the dia of a pill bottle on the bottom is a line out and line the line in comes from the intake behind the cone and the out goes back to the wastegate what the hell was he trying to do? the little black object has a knob on the top that turns side to side but does nothing when turned. i want to reset the vaccum lines to where they are spose to go

so does anybody have a diagram for the bov and wastegate vaccum lines

or know where i can get a new wastegate solenoid discount auto maybe?

For the BOV I believe it should be hooked into the Fuel Pressure vacuum line. This will enable the BOV to function as it should (opening to release pressure once the throttle body has a vacuum inside). As for the wastegate I'm unsure as I've no dealt with the stock turbos and my turbo kit utilizes an external wastegate/deltagate (although for that there is a line that runs from the turbo to the wastegate if that helps any). I can take a look in my Chilton's book and try and see what you're talking about when I get off work if that would help out.

Sounds like you have a manual boost controller installed in your car.
