Question about used rods and pistons

ok so a buddy of mine built a motor he bent a valve during break in and ended up parting out the car I bought the rods and pistons for my build they are in great shape and were only used around 25-30 miles of break in. So my question is are these safe to run anything that I should replace they are eagle rods and mahle Motorsport pistons the pistons are a 9.01 compression piston I already bought brand new rings from mahle

I'm guessing that they are fine to use just wanted opinions on anything other then rings that I should change

Are they the correct bore for your block? You still have to hone and make sure piston to wall is correct.

Yes had my 6bolt block bored .020 over to match the pistons

Obviously I'm going to replace the bearings also but are things like wrist pins safe to re use?

honestly if you had your block bored for that set of pistons, you could run everything as is. rings, pins, bearings. 30 mile isnt enough for any of that stuff to have any seating yet. as long as it wasn't damaged by what ever caused the valve to drop, metal shards, etc.

if you are going to replace the rings, replave the rod bearings also, do not separate the pins or anything else though.

Thanks man that's what I was hoping for I wasn't sure with the rings I figured new would be best route so the machine shop has all the clearance specs and what not my friend put the motor togeather in his garage I'm gonna have mine blueprinted and assembled at a machine shop

yes should be safe to use just buy new bearings and new piston rings just to be on the safe side.

So rod bolts are safe to use they are arp

yep, just follow the torque spec guide from arp for them.
