- Bought this car not running from a friend who spray paint the engine bay and exterior ( even painted wipers, harness, tires), got it running and it spun a bearing idling, gutted the engine bay to repaint and to rebuild the engine. Engine was built by hand (literally), a lot of bolts came of by hand (flywheel, clutch, nuts from head studs..), Engine harness has more splices than any car I've seen.. I've been doing everything by myself with the only help from my dad pushing the car in and out. This car was the 1st car I've ever painted. I've worked on it till 3 am some days on weekdays and I work full time from 8-6 M-F. 1st DSM I have owned, never heard it run good and hope to get it running after almost 2 years of having it ( thanks to my ex-machinist who took 6 months to bore my cylinders wrong).
