Hey everyone!

I am in need of a throttle body for a 1995 TSI AWD and wondered if there was a difference in 1g and 2g's? Which one is better and do they swap?

Also, I was wondering if anyone knows the MM of a stock throttle body and what would be the best MM for my car?

Thanks!

95 turbo has 52mm and all the 1g have 60mm, you can swap the T/B but need to open up the intake manifold to match the bigger T/B. I have a 64mm T/B on my car(bored out 1g)..this mod should not be your first, there are other mods to do first...good luck.

64mm

2g turbo stock TB is 52mm. 1g turbo stock TB is 60mm, you need the one with 4 vac ports on top to work, not the '90 TB. You will need to port out your manifold and TB elbow to get the most benefit of the bigger TB. I have a stock 2g TB I'll sell you if that's what you're looking for...
