Question about rear differential.

So ive never seen the underneath of an awd eclipse so im confused as to exactly where the rear diff is placed. Is it attached to the rear subframe? If someone could include a picture that be great.

Just look under the rear of the car and you'll see it directly in the middle between the rear tires. Kind of a bulbous shaped thing, i'll see if i can get a pic when i get home
