question about O2 dump

I just go this O2 dump from this guy I know. Well besically, here is the thing. I put in a 14b and now the car spools to 20psi and I cant bring it down.

So anyways, I will either get an external O2 dump or port my O2 housing, haven't decided yet. Thing is, I got this O2 dump right now which is like this, it's a stock O2 housing with a dump welded on it. The dump tube is directly under the path of the wastegate, BUT the path is not shut, meaning exhaust will leak through the dump as well. Coz whoever did this dump mod to the O2 housing left the path to the exhaust open which in a way defeats the purpose of an O2 dump.

Now, I am leaving for the shootout on Friday morning and boostin to 20psi dont make me too secure. Can I put this dump in ? Will it hurt anything ? Leak a lot, keep in mind that the exhaust gases have to go the opposite direction in order to come out the dump tube, but surely they still will.

are you saying that there is an opening between the wastegate passage and the main exhaust passage? This is not generally a bad thing. Some setups have a small passage that allows intermingling of gasses.. As long as it's not a gaping hole it should be ok.

As far as the boost level is concerned; what are your mods? Upgraded pump at the least? 20psi with the typical bolt-ons and a pump is not too much to worry about.. Do you have an EGT? Boost controller? More info please

the opening between the wastegate passage and the main exhaust passage is like stock, same size (or diameter) as the O2 housing on a 2g would be.

mods, I got 2.5" DP no cat, 3" catback, 190 walbro, TurboXS boost controller (the high performance), K&N fipk, intake pipe, FMIC, all pipes, umm... jee I'm missing something. That it tho. I ported the inlet, I dont know if thats matters.

got EGT, but haven't hooked up the probe yet

I suppouse I CAN do a log and see what kind of timing I'm pulling
