O2 dump question....

Correct me if I am wrong but I do not believe you make a huge amount, maybe like 5-8 hp or something but you do get rid of pesky boost creep right?

Yah not a huge amount, it's more to control creep.

There is no HP gain over a O2 that is routed back to the exhaust of the same size.

I picked up a noticeable amount of power when I had mine.

i have one installed maybe felt a little difference in spool up time but not much like he said its for boost creep and the awsome noise it makes

It doesn't help with spoolup time at all. It only opens AFTER you hit the boost which the wastegate opens. .

I dropped 3 tenths and picked up 3mph in the 1/4 with the installation of the o2 dump. It's definitely a big pick up in power. Think of running without a cutout. That's basicly what this is. It opens whenever your wastegate does.

just this weekend i cut my stock downpipe and replaced my 3inch downpipe to go to the track. to put it bluntly, i had a 6 inch 2 1/4 diameter exhaust. spool on my 50 trim was 500rpm sooner, boost came in much faster and harder. It was very laud but its a cheap alternative to a cutout.. only takes about 30min to switch it up. i bogged 1st gear(2.4 60 foot) and missed 3rd and 4th and managed to run a 13.9 at 97mph on a gst with no traction control of any kind, on pump gas, and hitting fuel cut. Top end if what this thing ecreases more then anything, i would estimate about 20-30 hp difference. Try it, its free if u got a stock downpipe laying around

#1 this is a thread for an o2 sensor housing dump (routing the wastegate gases right out)

#2 Why the hell would you shift to 4th to run a 97mph trap speed?! 3rd gear will take you up to ~106mph.
