Question about leaking 02 dump

Its a pretty much Brandnew e316g ported and 34mm flapper, on the old motor it did not leak, it was taken off, new motor installed, and put back on new motor, now its got just a littly fft fft fft fft sound and minumal preassure just enough to feel it comming out,,,,

why would it all of a sudden begin to leak?
could the actuator arm have anything to do with it? could the low vacuum the engine is producing have any effect? 12 inches.

any ideas?

thats like when someone says "my car wont start" and i say "dude, its your motor!"

kidding.

anyways, what do you mean, why would sitting on the table for 3 days make the wastegate passage start leaking, just buildup from a crappy running motor and the flapper just sat on it, and wont seal, or what.

It definitely has something to do with the wastegate not sealing correctly. Maybe something messed up the wastegate in the process of taking it off or reinstalling it. I'm not experienced with messing with the wastegate, so I can only suggest searching on the topic. Sorry. Good luck!

Check to make sure the linkage from the actuator to the wastegate arm aren't bent or anything. And make sure that the insert that is inside the wastegate port isn't cracked or pushed in. On my s16g I sold, the insert in there was pushed in and the flapper didn't seal properly. I don't know why it would do this just from sitting there, but might as well check it.
