Ok so I got a guy that wants to trade either his greddy evo cat or a thermal cat. An another that lives local and will trade me his hks hi power cat back. How do these compare to the thermal?? Which exhaust on market is best to get for low pitch sound but nice little roar when in woot.

It's all subjective and you'll get different answers, but I think the consensus is that the Thermal exhaust is the best sounding one for a DSM.

Really its just personal preference ....i run a Buschur system with magnaflow muffler and i love the deep tone it has.

I am also a fan of magnaflow mufflers. Another thing to consider is the cat itself. Obviously having a cat in the stream will quiet it down.

Personally, I prefer having the converter in. The system I have is full 3in including the cat and has a nice tone all through the rev/throttle spectrum.

Definitely no to thermals IMO, go with that sick HKS or GReddy evo, but to get the most sound out of your new exhaust, make sure you get a downpipe and remove the cat and put in a test pipe. Test pipes free up the sound and make it sound sick.
HKS- nice mid to high range with sick rumble and growl
Greddy- more mid to low range and nice rumble and roar at WOT
Thermal- Very soft until downpipe and test pipe and then still only best sound in WOT (obviously i am not a fan but that is just me)

I have an Apexi N1 and it is sick, but i definitely recommend the HKS and GReddy

Good luck:hellyeah:

Some would say that the Apexi ws 2 is a very mature sounding catback, with a deep tone and a loud WOT. But like others have said, it comes down to preferences and you may end up going through a couple exhausts until you find the one that suits you best. Right now i'm using the thermal, but thought i would throw out another option.
