Toronto,
Ok I have 97 eclipse spyder and I am installing a Quaife LSD to get better traction. I know I need to get a speedo driven gear. I went to mitsu dealer here in Toronto, Canada and they seem to know nothing. So I used this part number which I got from the C.A.P.S program and ordered the SPEEDO GEAR DRIVEN MD746492. The tranny shop thats installing my LSD is now telling me it's the wrong part. Can anyone tell if I can even get this part from the dealer or do I have to purchase it from RRE because they have it on there site.

If I can get it from the dealer am I using the right part number?

All help is appreciated very much!

Well, I googled the part number you posted and I came up with this result, so I'd say that part number is correct.

BTW, why do you want to order this part from the dealership? Just go ahead and order the gear from Road/Race. That way you don't have to deal with the clueless guy in the Mitsu parts department. Order it from RRE and you know you'll get the right part. Not to mention the fact that Road/Race's price will surely be cheaper than what you would pay at the stealership.

Yeah you have good point. I just need to get that part as fast as possible. So ordering from RRE, would mean atleast a week minimum to come to Canada. Dealer only takes two days.

Have you ever ordered anything from Road/Race before?

The standard shipping on RRE's orders is UPS ground... which you're right, will take at least a week. However, if you're a repeat customer they offer faster shipping services.

I'm sure you've already seen this but here is all the Road/Race shipping information.

So Road/Race or dealership? I suppose it doesn't matter as long as you get the right part, but from my personal experience I'd much rather do business with Road/Race than the dealership. Good luck getting the part! :thumb:

I appreciate your help man, it seems you are the only one that has some suggestions. I don't know, maybe nobody has Quaife LSD's in there FWD's because I was hoping someone would be able to help me with the part number. However, I still thank you for your insight!
