Quaife LSD in a GSX?

So, I decided to purchase a GSX, since my GST is just going to be a tire burner now that the engine/tranny build is almost done. I had purchased a brand new Quaife LSD to drop in the GST. My GSX has the rear LSD already, and am not sure if installing the Quaife in the front, will actually benefit me. Has anyone done this, and is the difference noticeable? If not, I will probably just sell the LSD.

It will do nothing at a stock or lightly-modified level. You'll never launch hard enough on the street that front wheel traction will become a factor; and if you do reach the point where you don't want one spinning wheel up front to ruin your launch, a welded center diff is more cost-effective than an LSD for the front wheels....although it is not recommended that a welded center diff car be your daily driver.

They are not interchangeable.

A front LSD is more for cornering than launching.

The estimate right now is well over 500hp to the wheels on e85, which is the reason for the concern. I hear you on the welded diff, but being that I will still be on the street from time to time, as well as making trips to the strip in the Winter, I decided against that. At this point I guess I will just see how she handles and go from there.

I am being told by the MFG that the FWD Quaife is able to be installed on an AWD front end, however I have not actually tried yet, so don't quote me on that.

welded diffs on an AWD is not bad at all. You only really notice it when you turn the wheel all the way. You just have to give it a little more gas.

I have a Quaife front lsd in my trans and it was a night and day difference in the way the car handles. If I had it to do over again I'd probably get a Kaaz but I'm not unhappy with my Quaife one bit.
