Ok, this is my dilemma! I've got the instructions and such in front of my and I've put EVERYTHING in where it is supposed to go. My only concern is that the spacer (spring) seems a little too big, I guess, for the spot it's supposed to go? Is this correct, or what am I doing wrong?

Believe it or not, the first engine I rebuilt, I just eyeballed the gaps. Nothing like dropping in forged 10.5:1 pistons and putting up stock, 9.6:1 compression numbers. I can feel your pain, but I learned my lesson the hard way. Next rebuild was done by a machine shop specifically because I did not want to eff with those rings again. Bastards all slipping and rotating. Phooey. :D

Oh yeah, and :shhh: :sneaky:
