Push clutch in...grinding "spinning" noise?

Basically I was out last night, turned the stereo off and was in complete silence when I heard then that when I push my clutch in at a complete stop....I kinda hear a "spinning grinding" noise for a few seconds, then it goes away.

Anybody have any idea what this is? Btw I think my clutch is bad so I've got a new one sitting in my room thats going in this friday...is that the problem or is it something worse?

that would be your thowout bearing either its clips broke from the fork or its just not on right... its about a 30$ part from

Gary would be correct in saying it's your throwout bearing. Did you buy just a clutch disc or a clutch kit? The kit should contain a new throwout bearing.

thanks guys...yeah I did see these posts dont think I didn't search...however they refer to when your clutch is NOT engaged...

my noise happens when it IS engaged...figured there would be a difference


ALSO, yes I've got a full clutch kit sitting here in my room...so if it is the throw out bearing well then....guess i'll have a new one this friday

make sure you use the mitsu factory throw out bearing. it is plastic lined instead of metal lined.

i shouldn't use the bearing that came with the ACT clutch? i take it that's what you're saying...mitsu OEM is better?

Sometimes OEM is better. Prime example, oil filter.

yes throw out the one that comes with the act clutch kit and buy the oem one, they are not that expensive i think around 20$ or something.
