Hey guys, i posted this in the N/T forum but after a couple days no one ansered so.. yeah. I just ordered a stainless header and downpipe. I already have a 2.5 catback, the only thing that will be stock with the exhaust is the cat. Where i live, they do not check emissions. So i was thinking about punching out the cat and just puting a pipe through it (They only check to see that you have a cat, not if its functional). Any sugestions? I dont know if it will sound like crap if i do that or if it would be better off to leave it alone. Thanks

On my stock gst i did notice the car pulls just a bit better but then again im turbo. Cant go wrong with a $40 job :thumb:

I have a 90 laser rs turbo and I put a new flex pipe and cut out the Cat so the only exhaust i have on is the muffler on the rear OEM replacement. Seems to have a nice tone at low rpms and a bit better mpg. oh well i just sold that car today and bought a 92 talon tsi awd that needs a ecm so im looking for one of those now.
