pulse generator questions on fwd auto

Ok, i need some tech info from someone who has good auto trans knowledge.
Basic problem i'm having is that old trans has two pulse generator holes , and the new one has three, so i need to know how to wire them properly and or if this cannot be done, and maybe why there is a third hole?
Info is as follows... old trans is a KF4A222MPD1 KO1953(F4A22) and the new trans in the car is as follows......F4A222MPD3 KL3068(F4A22). The only info i could crounge was the mpd3 model was a 93-94?
Orig model has two holes for the pulse generators on top, and the new one has an additional hole on the end clutch housing.
Also the hole in the top has a small bar down inside and will not let the pulse generator fully seat!?

HOLY crap i got the same problem, had my tranny rebuilt and it went into limp mode, bad sensors...well got those replaced now they tell me pulse generators!? its in the shop as we speak... I was hoping since you "kinda" no about them you could explain ### the hell they are cause im lost... (i dont work with trannys)

I am not sure this transmission is compatiable with those pulse generators. What year is the old transmission out of? You might want to give a call to the guys at IPT transmissions (IPT Performance Transmissions Torque Converters and Transmission Parts for Ford, GM, Chrysler, and Import vehicles). They also have a forum you can ask questions on. They should be able to tell you what is compatible and if you need new pulse generators, they should be able to supply them.

I have a 92 eclipse and bought a transmission off ebay. it turned out to be a 94. use the top and the he other top and bottom pulse areas the other top hole has a metal plug in it. You will also need the 94 trans computer to use.
