Im installing a PTE turbo (non water cooled) on my 94 AWD. I got the stocker off and im ready to install the new one. Ive heard that many people use the water pipe off a non turbo car. i got my hands on a water pipe from an NT. After installing the NT pipe, i realized there is no nipple on it to connect to the hose that leads to the oil filter housing. How are you guys with the NT water pipe getting around this? Also, had a question about the the water line from the oil filter housing to that t-stat housing... it is important for me to connect it to the same nipple on the tstat or can i connect it to the other one?

Worst case, ill just put back the stock pipe and block the one water line.. anyone know what size plug i need?

Thank in advance,
attia

I just installed a 50 trim on my '93. I plugged the water pipe hole wth the plug I removed when I installed a oil filter housing oil inlet hose for the turbo. you should have the same ss braided line since the turbo is oil cooled and the oil filter housing supplies much more oil. Right now I have both thermostat lines plugged but I am going to get some of that finger bendable brake line and fab a line to go to the hose that originally ran to the filter/oil cooler. Then just the line that fed water to the front of the stock turbo will be plugged. Mark

Thanks for the reply. Im still a bit confused. Since you never specified, im assuming youre using the turbo water pipe. You said you plugged the water pipe hole with the plug you removed from the oil filter housing. You also said you plugged both ports at the t-stat. So the one water line is still running from the water pipe to the oil filter housing (along side the alternator). I thought that same passage is what came out of the oil filter housing and led to one of the ports on the t-stat housing??

thanks,
attia

Yes I am using the original water pipe. I believe there is another line I plugged down near the filer housing that I was still going to run a line from the T-stat housing to, as a matter of fact I am just about positve because I remember trying to install the turbo with that line connecter but rotated a bit. Once it's daylight i will go check for you. That's where i'm going to use the bendable line to get it around obstructions. mark
