PTE SC-61 who is using it

Its not a ball bearing for 800.

Its a 360 thrust.

The SC61 is a potentially 680 hp turbo..

Some people only get 450-500... Some people the whole enchillada.

The SC63 is probably a trailer queen turbo.

In the right hands the SC61 is theoretically streetable.

IMHO If you have'nt maxed out a given size turbo yet don't go bigger quite yet. I mean 650 plus from the SC61 is still a gob of power no matter how many bigger turbos PTE makes.

Much cheaper than the fp3065 ball bearing turbo, am i correct? or did I see it on their site for over 1300?

The SC63 is closer to $900. The only way to get it for that price is in the garrett configuration. Meaning a garrett trubine housing, not the bolt on style. The 63 is the old style TE63 comprssor for big turbine shafts so the only turbine wheel choices you are going to have are the big T04 69 trim and the T04 76 trim. You cant run the T350 76 trim with the TE63 compressor.

In a bolt on configuration for a mitsu, the SC63 will be around $1100+. The most I have seen anyone (honda) pick up going from a 61mm GT compressor to the 63mm TE63 old school compressor is 20whp and that was in a T04S housing as well. So IMO, the hp gained doesnt offset the cost. If an SC61 isnt enough, might as well skip the 63 altogether and go to the PT67 paired with a GTQ turbine in a small T4 housing. Just my 2¢

I am pretty sure you can fit a P trim in a T3 exhaust housing so that should be an option too.

Yeah, the T04 76 trim is a P trim. I was just going by what Precision likes to call them although I dont like their naming scheme.

I think we need to rename our turbos:

Any of our turbos that have the 56 trim GT40 compressor wheel will now be called an AGP61. Any of our turbos with the TA45 compressor wheel we'll call the AGP63, and our T04R built turbos will now be called AGP67.

GT40 -> AGP61
TA45 -> AGP63
T04R -> AGP67

What do you think Jeff? Is it something we should consider? :rolleyes:

I hope you didnt take my post the wrong way. I didnt mean it to be derrogatory or malicious. Its just that all the different names get confusing, thats why I have them written down on my B board at work. But I do like the new names :D

Now we know what physical size the compressors are. I just dont like how Precision calls the P trim a T04 76 trim when everyone else just calls it a P trim. When I spoke with you guys about a turbo like Keith C's you just called it a P trim as well. Speaking of Keith, I just sent him an email and if the turbo hasnt sold yet, I will be the happy owner of his T66-P Trim that you Desert Dwellers built.
:p

No offense taken at all. It just seems that customers think PTE invented these wheel combinations, when in fact many of us have been using those combos for years, we just use Garrett's naming convention.
