Okay, prove me wrong. All the junk yards I've talked to seem to think all 1g FWD pump assemblies are interchangable. From what I've seen, the N/T fuel pump assembly doesn't have the little nut on the bottom of the fuel tank to hold the assembly in place. Can someone who knows their stuff back me up on this.

I'm having the worst luck finding the right assembly. They all seem to be AWD or N/T fwd assemblies that I'm finding.

Your definitely correct in saying they are different. The non-turbo's don't have the little "drain plug" that holds the fuel pump in. I haven't ever seen an assembly of a non-turbo fuel pump but I would think it might be the same. I don't see how it would be different but somehow it probably is.

Wow I just realized I did nothing to answer your question.. :notgood:

while were on the topic does that mean i have to get a special fp when i upgrade mine

No. Any drop in replacement you get will allow you to retain the assembly.

tkr,

What years were your cars? Is there a difference from year to year? I don't think the 2g's have the little bolt at all.
