While I was waiting for my engine bits arrive for my mirage, I was trying to work out
what to do with all the left over engine/turbo bits I have lying around.
I came across this yellow 2009 Proton Jumbuck for sale here in Australia. After some negotiations
I snapped it up.These Jumbucks share the same engine bay platform as the mitsubishi lancer cc sedan/gsr/evo1 2 3 and have a tunnel for the tailshat too.The rear end is a trailer beam that is leaf sprung. So my thoughts were my old
set up in the front with my auto gearbox and a hilux (tacoma)diff in the back with a 2 link setup.
We chucked it on my corner scales and it weighed in 2290lbs spare tyre and all.
So the fun has started, I have taken everything out and weighed it along the way.
I took out all unwanted weight (sound deadening, power steering, air con factory seats)

The front end is an evo 2 front bar, headlights, bonnet and guards. They all bolt straight up, so it looks like an EVO2 pickup.

So after a 6 month build, we fired it up and gave it a tune through the front wheels (im lucky enough to have a 2wd dyno at my tyre shop). On 19 psi it made 320 at the front wheels through the auto with bugger all timing ans nice and rich on the lambda scale. I corner weighed it in full race trim and it came in at 2300lbs and 2570 with me in it (im 6'3 LOL)

Took it out for its maiden voyage. Really happy with the result
