Im looking at both of these(motor mounts), and they dont seem different, Ive herd of both and heard both to be good. The Prothane are alot more money then the Energy suspensions, whats the differece in quality? The prothane are like $80 and Energy Suspension are like $30? Ive also heard that the polyurethene INSERTS arent very good, but do they even make any other? Thanks guys

my friend just installed prothane's into his 95 gst.. it makes the steering wheel feel like a vibrator at idle .. ROFL ; as far as performance goes, it FAR outways the vibration 10x over.

I took would like to know the difference. jumping on board.

From what i understand energy suspension is not as stiff as prothane. I know energy suspension only offers the lower inserts for a 2g, prothane is $80 for all 4 mounts (2lower, 2upper), thats why it costs more. If you go with prothane remember that stiffest isnt always the best, you will gain performance but all that shaking is going to catch up to you later on when your tightening every bolt on your car. I would personally go with energy lowers and prothane uppers, mix and match. Just my .02

I love my prothanes. I only have the motor mounts right now, but I am planning on getting the full set up. Prothane are ALOT stiffer than energy, but well worth it. Doing the Prothan mounts, added with the balance shaft removal kit makes for alot of vibration, but alot of power. I really dont notice it all that much, just the people sitting passanger.

I just have the $30 inserts. I only notice vibration at idle and even then it isn't that bad. Every now and then a rattle may show up, but I have heard that the full kit is a lot worse vibration wise and might be too extreme for most street cars. Wheelhop is totally non-existent and even without an LSD, all I have to do is baby first gear and my car hooks from 2nd on. I don't see any reason to upgrade to the full 4 replacement mount kit.

Because it makes you feel like your in a race car :) Vrooooom, Vroooom!!!! And when the guy sitting in his little Honda see's how much it vibrates he's either thinking to himself "Ha ha anoter pice of white trash!" or "Hmmmmm, I hope this guy isnt turbo'ed!" But we all know thats its pretty rare for the Honda kid to think the second choice.

I had a set of prothane's in my fwd and I hated them. I had a buddy with a gsx and he hated his too. As far as making more power? wft ? no more power, there f-ing motor mounts. Sounds like something a honda guy would say. ANyway I suggest staying away if this is gonna be your DD. I will say I did help some with the wheel hop,but not enough to make me wanna keep them

I have prothanes with no balance shafts, but I will let you know its not a combo for the faint of heart limp-wrists. I do love the fact that the car feels more responsive, especially between like a 1-2 shift, it just doesnt have the mushiness factor like the stockers. And as for loose bolts, its true, you will want to use threadlocker (high strength) if you havent. :D

its not really making more power, its just making for a more positive torque response because you aren't wasting torque(or that split second of time) by twisting your engine into the motor mounts, all your torque goes straight into the drivetrain.

All four of my mounts are solid polyurethane. I had them poured and cured while the tranny was out of the car. They are very stiff, aleast as stiff as the prothanes. The vibration is very minimal. The only time I really notice it is if I pull out in first with not enough gas and bog the motor down a bit. Then it will shake for a second. Other than that, I think it is barely noticeable, but I still have my balance shafts, so it may be a different story without them.
