Hi, I've got a 1g AWD and I'm thinking about putting on some eibach prokits. With the 1" or so drop, will I be able to adjust the rear camber back to spec, or will I need to buy those ingallis adjuster things?

Anyone with a 1g AWD have prokits?

I used the <a href="http://www.2gnt.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Sections&op=viewarticle&artid=127">$15 Camber Fix</a> with my Pro-Kits in the rear, it seemed to work out okay.

Put them on and take it to get aligned, they'll be able to tell you with absolute certainty.

This doesn not work on a 1g.

Word is, you can only get a 1G back to about -2* when you have ProKits. That's more than I would run. So your options would be:

Ingalls arms, as you know.

Eccentric bushings; e.g., Whiteline or Dynamic Motorsports.

DIY modifed arms: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/wayback/arms_mod.htm

I have no direct experience with any of these.

i am currently running the ingall's. great piece. well worth the money.

doing research before i did my coilovers, i read that as long as you didn't go below 'blah blah' of a drop, you wouldn't need anything special to correct the rear camber. that is pretty much crap. if you lower it at all, plan in your budget to get SOMETHING to fix the rear camber.
if nothing else, for aesthetic purposes. the front camber will change very little, but the back will be VERY noticeable.

I tried to get my 1G AWD aligned with Pro Kits installed. Adustment (rear) was topped out at -2.3*. The rear toe was also out of spec. I already bought the DME rear camber kit. I'm going to install this next week and try the alignment rack again.

Thanks for posting another data-point. Good luck with getting it back down to something reasonable.

Did you get these on? I just ordered Eibach sportlines and I'm sure I will need something for the rear. Not sure about the front. Dumb q's when you ordered that kit which I think is $40 was that for both sides or just 1 side? Thanks

Unfortunately I haven't had the time to install them yet. I've been really busy with work. Hopefully they will be installed later this week.

Well I FINALLY got some free time to install the DME rear camber kit today. Install was a breeze. Haven't been to the alignment rack yet, but I can tell that I'll be within specs. Lots of room left to adjust. I'll post back after I visit the alignment shop. I took a before picture, but it's dark out now so I'll get an after picture tomorrow. Also when you order the DME kit you get both sides for the rear.

front...no. you won't need anything. rear...definitely. 40 is for both sides.

i think anyone who wants to lower a 1g awd should budget for something to fix the rear camber. 1in, .5in....anything...just plan on it, and if it doesn't happen you are plus 40-200 bucks.

Made it to the alignment rack today. The results are as follows:

Before: left camber 2.3 (max. adjustment) Left toe 0.34 (max. adjustment)
After: left camber 1.1 Left toe 0.12

Before: right camber 2.4 (max. adjustment) Right toe 0.13
After: right camber 1.1 Right toe 0.08

I was told that the camber adjusters were about in the middle. I'm really pleased with the results.
