i just put a off name brand intake in my car and a HKS BOV, what would be the next steps to making my car faster? What bolt on mods will help me out with the HP
 
i just got the car 2 weeks ago i am putting a new clutch in as i speak is clutch masters a good brand? Also would it be worth it to get a lighter flywheel?
 
am i safe to raise the boost with the only two mods i have so far or will it hurt anything?

Does anybody know a boost controller for less than 70$ or is that to low of a price?
 
do not raise boost until you have supporting mods, IE - injectors, fuel pump, wideband, logger and a system to tune with, until you have those, don't touch your boost, dont even worry about a boost controller, that should be last on your list.
 
Would a G-Force power chip hurt my car? or would i have to dyno the car just to get it tuned with the chip?
 
You need to do some searching buddy.... All these questions can be answered with a little research.
 
my car had a bad idle and still does and there is white smoke coming out of the exhaust i did a new head job on it ans got it machined down they said i had a leaking head gasket and a bent valve that is fixed now but there is still smoke and the idle is still very bad there are no vacume leaks the compression for the pistons is even all the way across at 95 is that bad and what could be causing all of this if you can help me put i would appreciate it greatly thankyou..

Chip? You don't need a chip for ecuflash. It's a program that uses your existing ECU and flashes a new image (with a tune) on your existing ecu. You just need to buy the 2.0 openport cable, get ceddymods and ecuflash software and the mitsubishi reflash connector that goes with the openport plug. Also buy evoscan software to log your data. That's it essentially. Tons of threads on it though, research is your best friend for anything tuning related so read read and read some-more.

PS: Put what car you have in your profile along with mods. Will help in the future.

+1 Good advice. If there is any question of whether it will hurt the engine then you shouldn't do it.

If the head was redone you might have some internal issues. 160psi is stock compression if I remember correctly. What kind of head gasket did you use?

That compression is terrible. Tell us in detail exactly what you did when you say you did a head job and what parts you used.

THIS is how to do a proper compression and leak down test. Do this and tell us what you find.

If your car is smoking white, your burning coolant. Simple as that.

As people have said, follow the tech guide.

For advice on your idle issues, look here, but I kinda figure your biggest issue is that poor compression.
 
So at what point was the compression at 95? I understood after doing the head the compression was still that low...
 
here is the link of thr turbo kit i just put in my 1999 eclipse gsx everything bolted up correctly the only problem that i am having is the oil feeding line on the top of the turbo whenever you turn the car on oil starts to come out like it is not seated properly any ideas what i can do to fix it?

......its an ebay 16g, there is barely if any quality control on those units

The oil feed should be a 12mm x 1.25mm threaded hole. The kit looks like it comes with a oil feed form the head, and used crush washer with banjo bolt. Are you using the crush washers?

on a more minor note, maybe major depends who you ask, I would throw that turbo into the garbage, turn it into a paper weight, or save the hotside and get a true MHI turbo. Ebay turbos have been known to consistently fail prematurely. I would do more research on the website, it seem you haven't donet enough from the questions asked in this thread, and your choice of turbo.
