progress and more questions

i'm assuming i'm supposed to be in a build thread but i dont think i can post outside newbie yet. so today i got the 7 bolt out and started stripping out no essentials.

on to the questions. the motor was supposedly recently " fully built". no idea if it was done right or with good parts part. i tried the cam search and i think they are brian crowler 272 but it looks like it says bc 101 not 0101. here are some pictures and let me know if you can tell. also can you tell the brand of the connecting rods(shot in the dark)

i noticed the first cam pic is impossible to read, to me it looks like bc 101

Check the rod bolts. Look closely, do they say "ARP" on them? If so, then its a safe bet you have some aftermarket rods. Since Eagle are so common, i would wager that's what they are.

Cams? I have no clue. I have Crower 272s and without completely removing them you'd be hard pressed to tell what they are. Just a number etched in, nothing else.

why is there no consensus on the pcv delete? ive been searching for 2 hours and have no definitive answer.
