Hey guys,
I think I'm having a problem with my Profeb B spec II. I have a boost guage which is reading the proper boost for my 2g (18-20psi) but the profec guage is reading like a much lower vaccum. Does anyone have any experience using these? I'm not able to get the car on the road as I'm in the middle of rebuilding the entire car but I figured I would test this and its got me stumped. I'm just not sure if it shows vaccum properly as well as boost. Just let me know guys!. Thanx

I forgot to add that my vaccum source is the source for the BOV. I know that people say to use the FP solenoid but all vacuum should be the same. Just to make sure I hooked it up there though and got the same readings. Any info on why I shouldn't be hooking it up where I am would be helpful to though. Please help! Thanx

I would use the Fp solenoid line and make it as short as possible. i forget what type of intake manifold its called but the bov line is gonna be slightly different from the fp line. Also if you have your boost gauge t'd into your profec b that might be it. what are your vac readings for both sources?

I hooked the boost gauge up to both the bov source and the fp source and they were both at -18 psi on the guage. I also hooked the profec up to both locations and it is reading around 5 to 9. It will stay constant at what its at but is never consistent most likely because I'm having a couple of idle problems that I'm in the process of tweaking. The only thing that I can think of if the profec normally reads vacuum properly is that I must have a vacuum leak in the line that goes from the T to the controller. I've never had a vacuum leak though so I'm not sure what the symptoms are. I hope its not because that was a lot of line that was ran and into some tight spaces! Thinking back though I was tugging a lot....damnit. Does that sound about right to anyone?

Hate to bring up an old thread but I just instaled my profec b spec 2 also and am having the same issue with the vaccum reading wrong. Mine reads about -90 at idle. Boost seems to read ok, so I wonder if its at the limit it can read on vaccum?
