Probs with ECU~CEL

Hey the other day I received a P1300, no decription came up on the logger so I just cleared it, however after exhausting all my other options what is wrong with my vehicle I got my cd manual and found thatthis code means "timing adjustment circut malfunction", how do i FIX this issue and prevent it from happening again.

I have a damn 2G, and I know the ignition timing is ECU controlled and I cannot adjust it manually. So how again, am I supposed to fix this?

well weather it be 2g or 1g u still can adjust the timing at the crank.so i would say its the camsaft sensor.

ok, well how do you advance/retard the timing @ the crank.

On the 2G where do you find the camshaft sensor, on the block or head and where abouts is it??

You cant mess with timing on a 2g sensor, you need a 1g cam angle sensor for that.

again i will ask where do you find the 2G cam angle sensor, and is there anywhere I can go to see how to install a 1G cam angle sensor, tp perhaps see how involved it is !
