you meant to tap into the vacuum hose but tapped into a fuel line instead???? Is this a wet or dry kit?Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.

Well he also has a 95 eclipse gs and his Fuel Pressure REgulator is in the engine. Mine is under the passenger side of the car towards the back. Im pretty sure he put it in the wrong spot. =oGiRlsGoFaStEr said:Its a dry kit
Oh this isn't fun.
Is there any way that i can use the kit that I have at all? Or do I just need to sell it....GiRlsGoFaStEr said:So there is no way a dry kit will work unless I get the nitrous shooting into the manifold then

GiRlsGoFaStEr said:Is there any way to modify the Dry Kit to use in my eclipse? Since I dont seem to have the correct vaccum hose, or do I just have to get a whole new kit? I dont know anything about nitrous so I know my questions are like
I really appreciate it
1fstSS said:if im not mistakes the 95 plus cars dont have a vacume line commin off the FRP theres realy no safe way to hook up a dry kit if you cant boost off the fpr, nitrous is not a toy, its a great power adder, but not to be abused, it can kill you, and or damage your motor.
DragGSX said:the zex kit doesnt tap into the vacuum line to BUMP up the fuel to make up for it....its there for saftey...if it reads low vacuum or any problems with your fuel setup it shuts down so you dont screw anything up. thats why they call there kit the saftest...other kits dont read anything its ether on or off regardless of fuel problems
DSMJim said:That is absolutly not true, sorry.
The vaccum line IS ABSOLUTLY there because the system depending on the bottle pressure applies pressure (using nitrous) to the top of the fuel pressure regulator to bump up fuel pressure to maintain the proper air fuel ratio. It add a certian amount of pressure varying with bottle pressure to keep you in what ZEX calls the safe a/f range, this is why their system is safe. All DRY nitrous kits do this, not just zex they just market it.
THe vaccum line is not there to check anything. Nitrous injected into the car needs fuel, no if ands or buts. If the fuel pressure is not bumped up at the fpr then the car would blow up. The car does not change pulse width or duty cycle on it's own when nitrous is sprayed in. You can either bump up fuel pressure (dry kits) or spray the fuel in (wet kit). The only alternatice is a Venom kit which hooks to the injectors and increases pulse width with a magic box to compensate for nitrous, but it's still a dry kit.
This is the basic basis of how a dry kit work.

This is the inside of a ZEX NMU. You can clearly see that the vaccum line shares the distribution block with the nitrous, the nitrous running to the top of the FPR is what keeps it closed thus raising fuel pressure.
Also see below a my old NOS4123 dry kit with the vaccum line hooked off the blue thing inbetween the solenoids which are hanging upside down.

Look, i'm not trying to be an ass or anything, but there is a lot of mis-conception about how a nitrous system works and I police this forum to help dispell a lot of it. I hope you don't think im trying to personally attack you because this is not the case...
Hope that helps.
