I took the shifter out to have it shortened, but when I went to put it back in there was a spacer of some sort on the rod that the shifter went on that is secured with a nut. How tight are you suppose to tighten that bolt? I didn't get it very tight because the spacer started crushing I don't know if I put the spacer on backwards or if I even need it.

Thanks,

It's just there to keep it from wobbling back and forth. I actually had to take washers and stack them and then tighten it down, but now it is really firm and doesn't shake around at all.:thumb:

If that is all you are asking, then just put it on and tighten it so that it is not loose and wobbles around and you will like it much better. Just use common sense, if it is starting to crush it, then don't go so tight.
