After replacing the power steering rack my car does not want to go forward. We just finished replacing the power steering rack in my car and when we went to move it, the car basically bogged alot. If you just gradually release the clutch the car rolls forward fine but when you give it gas it feels like your trying to tow a semi behind you. Reverse seems perfectly fine, just releaseing the clutch and when giving it gas in reverse everything seems perfect its just trying to go forward doesnt seem to be happening. Only thing thats not on the car atm is the sway bar links, but we dont think thats the problem. Made sure the sway bar wasnt getting in the way of anything so now we are kinda thrown for a loop. If anyone has ideas please help cause I would really like to drive my car eventually.

Well, I'm glad it's something "stupid" like that. What about shifter bushings and shifter adjustments (if any)? Could you have a bad bushing that is short-changing your throw in to first?
Thanks for the update.

Bear with me here since im not all that familiar with the clutch and other stuff but what I could get from my brother was when he pulled up the shifter boot and took a look at stuff it seems that the clip that holds the 2 clutch cables in place somehow fell off or something along those lines. Basically the one cable was getting in the way of the other so it couldnt make it over to 1st gear. Hopefully that makes sense. Put stuff back together correctly and vola its fixed.

Anyhow now thats fixed but I have a bunch of little stuff that still needs to be done. Did the passanger side outter tie rod 2 weeks ago now I need to do the driver side, got to take back one of the 2 sway bar links cause it was messed up and didnt work, guess I need to get some type of clip or something for the rear brakes cause a part is moving around back there and its not supposed to, and we have to redo the steering bracket(where the power steering connected to it) because the steering wheel is cocked to the side. Oh well hopefully we will have it all done by the weekend since its supposed to be nice around here so Id like to be able to drive it.

glad it was something simple. If you havn't checked that nut you might want to it isn't uncommon for it to come free.
