problem with tranny or computer on 1g

Hi, I have a 92 eclipse with a 2.0 n/t with automatic transmission and I just got the computer and a fuel regulator replaced in it last week, and tonight when i tried to leave for work I put my car in drive and every other gear and it wouldn't move at all but the car was still running. I have noticed over the past few days that i've drove it that it would only drive in reverse and drive and not in drive one or two. And when i would drive it in regular drive i noticed also that it would slip alittle. I wasn't sure if I was having problems with the computer or if it was the tranny all together. Also I noticed when I would go around right curves the front tires would vibrate alittle I wasn't sure if this was caused from getting a drivers side axle replaced or not. If anyone could give me any advice on what it could be i'd really appriciate thanks.

Sounds like your trans is in 3rd gear 'limp mode' for some reason. When starting out from a standstill in limp mode it'll probably feel like you're getting slippage from the trans. 'limp mode' is designed to allow you to limp into your local repair shop (or home) hopefully withhout damaging the transmission. Continuous driving while in this mode is going to be very bad news for your trans and engine. I wouldn't drive it until you get everything straighted out.

If you have a voltmeter and a chilton manual you can check the trouble codes off yor OBD connector. You can also pull the transmission trouble codes -- this
should help point you in the right direction.

I dont' know much about this, but the first thing I would ask is did you check your tranny fliud level? (I noticed you mentioned something about an axel being replaced) if you're low on fluid it'll slip or not engage.... just one of the easiest things to check really quick.
