well i have a PTE GT32E on my galant.. still stock exhaust (but its on order) but after about 4500 rpms it doesnt really pull much and kinda stutters.. i only did this 3 times (dont wana wreck the turbo) and the stock MAS is maxing out (VPC injectors and everything are going in this weekend)

is this just because of the stock exhaust ? im only running factory set boost on the turbo (10 lbs)

your stock exhaust has alot to do w/ it. replacing that stocker w/ a turbo back 3" will give you a world of difference. It will probly pull hard all the way to redline. Also get your self a 2G maf and possibly a 3" intake pipe. Put on some 650 injectors, walbro 255 pump and safc should suffice fine for tuning it. youll easily be a 12 sec car. BTW how is that PTE GT32E working out? im thinking about buying one. where did you get it and how much? thanks, dan

Your exhaust is giving you the problem. Til you get your exhaust and don't mind a loud car take off your cat. I am running scm60 at 15 psi and I'm not overrunning my mas yet. And I have 450 cc injector and I think a stock pump. But I'm getting 0-1 knock and 20 degree timing at 15 psi. So nothing but the ehaust is killing you.

alright just wanted to double check thats what it was...

ordered my certified muffler 3" SS turbo back just gotta find a nice o2 housing and manifold..

and ive already got a walbro 255 with full -6 braided SS fuel line aeromotive AFPR and aeromotive fuel filter.

HKS VPC and GCC is going on this weekend along with 680 cc injectors.

then probably gonna sit till i get my exhaust :(

It's amazing how much of a difference supporting mods make to a turbo upgrade. When I installed my EVOIII 16G last year, I was still on the stock SMIC and Injectors (though I did have a Walboro 190 pump). The car actually felt SLOWER than the T-25 at the same boost as I was running the T-25 on (15 lbs.). My power potential was being suffocated first and foremost by the stock SMIC.

I then installed a Dejon Tool Super-Big Sidemount and WHAM!! I felt the beginning of the E316G's power potential and it put a smile on my face. Just this past weekend I finally installed my FIC 650cc injectors and S-AFC II, cranked the boost up to 21psi, did some pulls with my DSMlogger and set in a good tune and HOOOOO BOY this car sure pulls like a raped ape now! :D

My point -- a Turbo upgrade is only as good as the mods that support it. :thumb:

Hope your installs go smoothly and enjoy the new power!
