ok i dont know if you guys remember, but my uncle and i were looking for a gsx for him. Well we finally got one like 2 weeks ago. car is nice. 93 gsx with 130k. 5 speed. FMIC, boost controller, boost exhaust gauges, has the apexi fuel thingy (thinks is the afc) you know what im talking about, Intake, radiator, waste gate, 2 1/2 in turbo back and cat back exhaust, clutch is done, stock 1g bov. well the problem just started happening now like 2 days ago, when it idles it feels like its gonna shut off, the rpm's drop and then bamm car stalls and its off. we have to hold down the gas pedal for it not to stall, what should we check out? also check engine lite is on... we just got the car 2 weeks ago and we wanna get it to run good so please give me some hints so me and my uncle can get this bad boy on the road with no probs thanks guys. :dsm:

Check the settings on the AFC, I would get someone who knows how to use one to help you, because since you don't know the name I'm sure you aren't proficient in using it.

ok thanks, think it can be anything else?

i had the same problem with mine. it turned out that the intake manifold was leakin. probably not the case in your situation but ya never know.

Just check around for boost leaks in general. Then take care of small stuff like plugs, new wires etc. Even if it doesn't solve the problem, it's a good thing to do

Or it could end up being a BISS screw on the Throttle Body.

Check that screw on the throttle body. Screw it either in or out and see if your idle changes and stays there.

When I first bought my car it was missing the BISS screw, there was duct tape over the hole, and the car idled like crap and surged up to 2k during the ride home, but it never sputtered and died.

yo man get that hole covered...the car dies if thats not covered. so go buy a screw and see if that fixes it.

But other then that...its a vacuum/boost leak. I have the same problem right now too. Get an intake leak tester....and listen for leaks. This is the best thing to do...and you say you have a boost gauge...does it read vacuum also, if so, whats the vacuum reading at idle?
