I already searched through a bunch of threads and Im just trying to see if anyone else had a problem like Im having.

It seems no matter where I set my screw I get compressor surge AND the car wants to die when it comes back to idle. Its like the adjustments arent doing anything. I read on the vfaq that if you dont have the bottom nipple hooked up there is no adjustment.

I have only the top nipple connected and the bottom to the atmosphere. My runs ~15psi right now on a 14b. Should I try to connect the bottom nipple to a boost source and see if that does anything?

from what i've read, connecting the bottom nipple to a boost source will only help with the BOV flutter..

anyway, i'm going to assume that you started HARD and adjusted to the SOFT setting gradually. if so, i'd take an allen wrench and open that sucker up. perhaps something is wrong with the internals of the BOV. also do research on the single spring mod.

check the springs [2], check the plumb [ dammit forgot the damn ], check if your screw is actually moving up and down.

i had the same problem, the damn bov was bad i just resold it. somebody told me to check the internal springs. I had the same exact thing though, theres no fix for that, that i know of.

mine seemed to get better with use, but definately hook up that second bov nipple to the compressor housings nipple. my spring was set about halfway.. hooking up the second nip made it a lot better

just curious, what was made better when connecting the second nipple?

Got everything figured out. I did the single spring mod and now it works perfectly. It seemed that with both springs it was too stiff for it to open right. After taking the smaller spring out it makes adjusting alot easier now. I still have to fine tune it, but I got it to whistle and not surge on me.
