So I am going to be installing the GM MAF and MAF Translator within the next month or so. However I still have the stock sidemount with stock piping. So my question is, should I just buy the hard pipes for the SMIC or should I go with a FMIC and piping? Is there any real benefit between the two or is it just more of just personal preference?

Thanks :thumb:

With a big 16g not only will a front mount help with intake temps but it will also make installing that GM MAF a lot easier. I would definitely go with a front mount setup. You are going to want one eventually anyways and not is a good time to get it.
