Hi all. I measured my Ignition Coil because I have a P0300 code. Here are the readings:

Primary Coil Resistance:
2.0 Ohms
2.1 Ohms

Secondary Coil Resistance:
12.1K Ohms
12.0K Ohms

So it looks like my primary coil is out of spec.

My question:

Can you replace (or repair) the primary coil only? Or do I have to replace the whole coil pack? Is it possible to order just the primary coil? And if so, where can I buy it?

If not where can I buy the ignition coil pack at a good price?

Thanks,

Tomas.

Thanks, I'll try that. So I just need to replace the Primary coil pack and not the secondary ... right?

I've had the same code now for around 2 years. It comes only when cruising over 70 for like 30 min or longer. I ohm'd out the coil similar as you but doubt its the culprit. I've heard that having an aftermarket flywheel can cause this code to... Thats about when I started getting it was when I upgraded clutch and flywheel. I would just think that these primary coils would go out of spec way more than that to cause a problem or just fail all together. I'm begining to think this is just a "phantom" code caused by the new flywheel and there really is not a misfire at all. Let me know what you figure out.
