How much should a head gasket replacment, clutch/flywheel, and new wheel bearings and rotors cost to have installed? I just picked up a 1g that needs some work yet I dont have the time to do it. What do most mechanics charge for something like this? I'm just trying to get an idea because I called some shops and they are having trouble giving me price quotes over the phone. :sosad:

~60$ an hour, headgasket is pricey. Clutch flywheel is usually around 300$ labor, but to get an answer that isnt a complete waste of your time, call the local shops to you

Roughly, obviously (I'm including parts):

HG-around $500
Clutch/FW- around $750 add $150 or so for AWD
Wheel bearings/Rotors: around $500

If you figure $60/hr labor (pretty standard, on the cheap side maybe).

HG is about a 5 hour job, plus gasket, fluids, tax.
C/FW is about a 5 hour job, plus clutch, flywheel, fluids, tax
Rotors/WB is about a 3 hour job maybe

These are my thoughts. I always like to plan on the high side.

Best I've gotten for labor on an AWD clutch job is $300 labor alone, I provide all parts and fluids. Ouch.
