2G Prices for AWD swap

So a buddy of my husband's happens to have majority of what I think I need to do an AWD swap. Trying to see what y'all would pay for everything minus the transmission. Wanting to know if it's a good deal or not.

When I did my awd swap I got a whole car with rusted strut towers and a knocking engine for $1200. It was a big help having a complete car.

Technically this is a complete car, we have to disassemble it. Just want to know what the parts would be worth. the only catch is that it has to be done before snow flies this year... I live in WI

All but transmission is worth at least 500$ if in good shape. When I did my AWD swap I didn't have a parts car I bought most of the stuff from a couple, Then slowly pieced the rest together. I wouldn't recommend my way but it worked out for me and the car is running great.

Prices usually go like this:
Good working manual transmission 400$
T case (matching splines) 100-150$
Driveshaft - between 100-150
Rear diff pumpkin with axles 300-400$
Subframe 250$
These are prices that I have seen happen over the course of my dsm ownership from other members. It could be off but just giving you an idea on big ticket items. A donor car is ideal to have however I understand that's not always possible.

Sadly I missed my opportunity at this deal. $300 for everything minus trans, just had to remove it myself.

I paid 600 for gas tank, tank shield, subframe, drive shaft, axles, trans, transfer case, and every bolt. Not a great deal but I've seen people trying to sell just the trans for 500

It is a real pain to do the AWD swap buying parts individually. The small parts such as the hangers for the driveshaft, sub-frame mounts, and AWD specific gas tank accessories . It was also nice to have a reference point (the shell) to ensure parts were being mounted correctly. I will be completing my second swap in the next year or so. Buying in bulk (shell) will save you a bit of money in the end I paid $600 for the latest AWD shell. If possible ensure you get the trans with the car. If not, make you you correctly pair the correct trans and transfer case. If you have done this before, you may find the following link helpful:

I paid a bit more than I liked overall. But here's my breakdown.

The subframe, knuckles, and driveshaft were free. I got a second LSD differential that I sold to offset the cost of the assembly. That was $250 that I saved there.

Fuel tank and shield ran be around $250.

$125 for the transfer case. I had a stock transmission that came with it, but sold it since I picked up a built Shep Stage 4 ($2100).

First LSD with axles was $400, I think.

Misc. parts like the front axles, driveshaft tunnel brackets, and the subframe mounting bolts were about $200.

So I think around $1400 for shipping some stuff and not including the Stage 4 transmission.

I paid $650 for a running donor car. Let's just say it wasn't the prettiest or most functional car since it had so many problems. As for your time crunch, my dad and I got everything taking apart and out of the donor car in one day. I have not yet completed my swap since we are taking our time sandblasting and painting everything along with putting all new bushings and seals in. But if you're dropping it out and putting it right in I'm assuming you could do it fairly fast. You just gotta make sure you keep up with every single solitary bolt and nut. Misplacing those could lose a lot of time.
